WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HEAL WITH O.U.T?
O.U.T is a systematic approach to healing traumatic experiences that we are storing in our being. These experiences are stored as emotional energies and these emotions need to literally get OUT of your system for you to be free. These experiences can be quite powerful and dramatic—often involving abuse, neglect, accidents, or illness. They can also be more subtle as in the things that you heard and experienced as a child. All of these have a powerful impact on our development as humans as they shape how we interface with the world in a largely unconscious way. Many of these beliefs are what would be called limiting beliefs that you have about yourself that prevent you from reaching your potential. They keep us from moving forward in life. Very often they keep us stuck in some negative cycle which continues to perpetuate itself. OUT is healing tool which can help you break this cycle.
HOW DOES O.U.T WORK?
ORGANIZE YOUR THOUGHTS
Identify a specific event or memory. What can you remember about it, what emotions are you feeling. For most people it stops here. They are able to identify the event, but then they do not know what to do with it. They do not know what to do with it because they don’t understand the specific emotions that are linked to the event. They usually only have a few surface emotions if any about what occurred. This leads to a story in our mind about what happened which is often very different from what actually happened. I often refer to this as the mental stage. You are still caught up in the mind. The mind is a wonderful tool but it can’t be believed without some help.
UNDERSTAND THE EMOTIONS
OUT helps you move past the mental stage by identifying the exact emotions tied to the event. In many instances the initial thoughts about the event contain some emotions but these are often more surface emotions such as anger, fear, or apathy which are preventing you from the complete range of emotions which should have been present, experienced and processed at the time of the event. OUT takes you beyond this and will show you the full range of emotions tied to the event in question. Once the emotions are all identified the story reveals itself. The mind now has more information in the way of emotions with which to remember. The thoughts take on a new shape and become very clear. They take you literally to the heart of the event and you are able to fully experience the event (no matter how difficult). This is the heart stage where you are able to open up to what was experienced.
TRANSMUTE THE EMOTIONAL ENERGIES
At this point transmutation occurs and the emotions begin flowing. They are transmuted because they are allowed to be felt. The emotions are literally moved O.U.T of your system. Sometimes very quickly, sometimes over the period of a few hours or days. This means you are no longer holding on to anything pertaining to this event or experience any more. You can still remember it but it is with no emotional charge. This stage is often accompanied by a physical release, very often felt in the gut. We have moved from the head to the heart to the gut.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER HEALING AN EVENT WITH O.U.T?
In some instances healing is instantaneous. You might cry, you might feel lighter ,you might immediately feel different. In other instances it may take some time for these latent emotions to work their way out of your system. You may feel a little anxious or unsettled for a period of a day or so. You may also feel pain in certain parts of the body. Additionally, O.U.T very often opens the portal to even further healing so new memories will start flowing in.
IS O.U.T RIGHT FOR ME?
O.U.T can be used by anyone who has decided that they want to heal. It is designed to meet you wherever you are on the healing journey. That being said true healing requires a multi-faceted approach and I would recommend that OUT be used alongside other healing therapies - shadow work, self-sabotage work, inner child work, psychodrama and breath work to name a few. Some of this work can be done alone but often you will want to work with an experienced practitioner especially if you have experienced things that are particularly traumatic.
HOW DOES O.U.T DIFFER FROM OTHER HEALING TOOLS?
I have experimented with numerous healing modalities, however many of them felt open ended and didn’t provide complete healing of the event in question. I didn’t know when healing was starting and ending. In many instances there was no end, there was just a loop of oh, this happened, I have these thoughts and feelings about it. Is it healed or is it not healed. O.U.T is a systematic approach that will close the loop. Of course it can and should be used with some of the healing modalities I mention above.
